Yasukuni Shrine and Yushukan war museum (靖国神社 Yasukuni Jinja)

The Yasukuni Shrine is well known as the shrine commemorating individuals that have died in service to Japan including World War II war criminals. That explains all the complaints from Chinese and Korean governments when Japanese politicians visit the shrine. I was well aware of the controversies surrounding the shrine before visiting it, and I admit those controversies were part of why I got interested.
