The Chureito Pagoda is possibly one of the most photographed pagoda in Japan. Not because it has a particularily great notoriety but rather due to the fantastic view of mount Fuji in the background. If you visit the Chureito Pagoda, I hope you like climbing stairs, since close to 400 steps lead from the Arakura Sengen Shrine to the Pagoda! The reward is an awesome view of Mount Fuji. That is of course if weather is cooperative, which was not my case.
